You Are the Architect!

You are the architect of your own life, and your own body! By joining a CFM weight loss group you are taking the first step in deciding to take control of your life. The second step will be to set long-term goals about how you would like your life to change as a result of participation in the group. These goals may relate to such issues as how you would like to think and feel about yourself and your body, concrete achievements, changes in relationships, and others. In order to achieve those long-term goals, you will need to set some short-term goals including how and what you'll eat, how and when you'll exercise, and how you'll reward yourself for meeting your goals. We typically spend time identifying and setting these goals in our first session.

CFM's weight loss program is filled with tools to help you discover the thoughts and behaviors that have kept you overweight or have kept you living with a feeling of your body being out of your control. The program aims to change those thoughts and behaviors through a combination of learned techniques and self-exploration. Our experiences, both personal and professional, have taught us that there is a series of habits and ways of thinking about oneself and one’s body image that contribute to difficulties in managing weight. We'll be using this blog to stay in touch with past, present and future program attendees, and include information not just about what CFM offers, but what attendees have learned and think about the program.
