As the parent of a child who is currently enrolled in or about to enter school, you will have special concerns about his/her intellectual, social/emotional and academic potential. Your child is a unique individual with specific strengths and weaknesses. Most public and private schools do not have the time or the resources to assess your child's profile of abilities and learning style.
As an expert independent assessment service we begin by administering a Wechsler IQ test; we then review the results and advise you on your child's capabilities. Additionally, our evaluation is offered to the school, at your request, to increase their understanding of your child's strengths and weaknesses and to clarify academic goals.
Why should I test my child?
Children are made up of traits, qualities and attributes that are unique to them. The root of a specific problem may not be detectable without looking at functioning in all of these areas. After an IQ test is completed we may discuss and recommend additional testing to give you and your child's educators a more complete picture of your child's abilities intellectually, neurologically, behaviorally, emotionally and academically. With over 25 years of testing experience, CFM's professional staff has often found that incomplete assessments fall short of a complete picture of your child's abilities.

An evaluation ensures appropriate placement from the beginning of an academic career. Students in programs above or below their academic level become frustrated, insecure and under achievers. Children with emotional issues may refuse to attend school or may exhibit poor performance even though they are intelligent and talented. Exceptional children including the gifted as well as the learning disabled must be diagnosed at an early age to receive the most supportive programs.
